Every screen has been redesigned. There’s a new landing page editor, and a handful of things Scanova couldn’t do before. It arrives on 21 September, and everything comes across with it, including your QR Codes, landing pages, and scan history. Already-printed QR Codes keep scanning as usual.

Plan-specific features are clearly mentioned. Everything else is available on all plans, including Free Trial.

Redesigned throughout

Every screen has been rebuilt. Layouts are cleaner, navigation is clearer, and there’s less hunting for the thing you came in to do. Nothing you’ve made has moved. Your QR Codes, landing pages, and scan history are all where you left them.

Dark mode

A true dark theme, designed screen by screen rather than dimmed on top of the light one. Your setting is personal, so everyone on your team can choose their preferred theme independently.

A new landing page editor

Build pages block by block, drag to reorder, and edit content directly. Preview every page across mobile, tablet, and desktop before publishing. Each page has its own theme, SEO settings, and optional password protection. Pages you built in Classic Scanova open here and keep working as before.

Conversion trackingPro and above

Until now, the trail went cold at the scan. Add a small Scanova script to your site to keep tracking what happens next, including the pages visitors view, links they click, and how far they scroll.

Multi-page landing pagesStandard and above

Put multiple pages behind a single QR Code, with simple navigation between them. Ideal for menus, event programs, product ranges, and other content that no longer needs to fit on one long page.

Health Center

One place to see every QR Code in your account with an issue: expired schedules, unpublished drafts, missing forms, or unverified domains. None of those throw an error anywhere else in Scanova, so catch problems before customers do.

Issues are ranked by the traffic they’re costing you, making it clear what to fix first.

If you already use Scanova

3 things that work differently

Everything else is where you’d expect to find it.

Pages have been retired

Pages let you build a standalone landing page without creating a QR Code for it. In practice that was the same thing as a landing page QR Code without the code, and very few people used it that way.

Creating a landing page is now one of the 3 main ways to make a new QR Code, so the separate Pages section has been removed.

Anything you built in Pages is now a QR Code in your list. Two Pages, two QR Codes. The pages themselves work exactly as they did before.

3 routes instead of 26 QR Code categories

Instead of choosing from a long list of QR Code types, you start with what you want the code to do. Quick Code covers anything that sends people somewhere: a website URL, an app store, a phone number. Build a Page covers every landing page type. Describe with AI builds one from a prompt.

All 26 QR Code categories are still there. You now access them based on what you want to do, rather than scrolling the entire list.

Landing pages are built from blocks

You used to pick a layout and fill in its fields. Now you add blocks and arrange them on the page itself. It takes a few minutes to get used to, and gives you a lot more control once you have.

One thing to know about the new editor

A landing page you build in New Scanova can’t be edited from Classic. The page keeps working, and you can still download its QR Code and restyle the code itself. The content, though, is only editable in the new editor.

Your account owner makes the switch

Switching moves everyone on the account together, so it’s the owner’s call. If you’re not the owner, you can ask from inside Scanova, and they’ll get an email.

The API is unchanged

Existing integrations carry on working exactly as they do today.

The logo has changed too

Scanova has a new logo and a new colour, arriving with the application. Nothing about your account changes with it.

New Scanova runs alongside Classic Scanova, not instead of it.

It arrives on Monday 21 September

New Scanova arrives in the early hours of Monday 21 September. Nothing in your account changes when it does, and nothing will until you switch. No new screens, no moved menus.

Look for Switch to New in the application

Switch whenever you’re ready. Classic Scanova stays available afterward, and you can switch back any time.

If you’re a shared user, your account owner makes the switch

Switching moves everyone on the account together, so it’s the owner’s call to make. You’ll still see the option, and choosing it notifies the owner by email that you’d like to move.

Questions you might have

When is this happening?

Early on Monday 21 September, between 1:30 and 3:30 AM ET. That’s 05:30 to 07:30 UTC, and 11:00 to 13:00 IST. It arrives on every plan, including Free Trial, and the account owner will find a Switch to New option in the application.

Do I have to switch right away?

No. Classic Scanova stays available, and switching back takes a single click if you change your mind.

Who can switch?

The account owner. Everyone on an account moves together, so it isn’t a per-person setting. Shared users can ask the owner from inside Scanova.

What happens to everything I’ve already built?

Everything comes across: QR Codes, landing pages, folders, and scan history. Anything built in Pages arrives as a QR Code. Already-printed codes keep scanning as usual, and there’s nothing you need to do.

Why does Scanova look different?

Two things are changing at once. The application has been rebuilt, and Scanova has a new logo and colour. Your account, your login details, and your billing are unaffected, and already-printed QR Codes keep scanning as usual.

Will my API integrations break?

No. The API is unchanged, so existing integrations carry on working exactly as they do today.
