Firefox 8.0 Now Comes With an Inbuilt QR Code Scanner

I wouldn’t be exaggerating when I say, inbuilt QR Code scanners are now a fad. Mobile phones, apps, and web browsers—all now boast of an inbuilt QR Code scanning feature.

Not too long ago, web browsers Google Chrome, Samsung Internet, UC Browser, Opera Mini, and Bing added an inbuilt QR Code scanning feature. The latest to join the party is Mozilla Firefox.

Latest Features

In July 2017, Mozilla announced addition of an array of features to their Firefox 8.0 web browser. The list of features include:

  • Night vision view
  • Redesigned tab
  • Inbuilt QR Code scanner
  • Sending webpage to another devices synced with Firefox
  • Feature recommendations

The list sure looks promising but the feature that we are kicked about without a doubt, is the inbuilt QR Code scanner. The new features are set to roll out in the coming few weeks and we can’t wait to test the scanner.

Once the QR Code scanning feature is up-and-running, we’ll share a review and a step-by-step procedure on how to use it.

Stay tuned!
