Those curious enough to scan were directed to a minting page for a free digital collectible (an NFT “Dragon Egg”) from the upcoming DigiDaigaku game. The story played on curiosity and FOMO – millions saw a bouncing QR code and a promise of “free digital treasure,” turning a passive TV ad into an interactive, phone-driven rush for a limited supply of 10,000 NFTs.
